I am so happy I found this company. Their prices are very competitive with other big lumber companies and the wood is of great quality! We are happily restoring a 100 year old home. Of course, some of our lumber is not your typical size. I called several places and was told it would take 2 weeks to get. Tarheel Wood Treating was a referral that not many big lumber companies will tell you about. Long story short: holiday weekend and everyone is out of lumber and cannot deliver. One call to Vickie who was very knowledgeable of what she had in stock and she had my lumber ready to go when we arrived. We had a choice for delivery but the amount of lumber we needed was not substantial. We opted to pick it up. I would totally recommend them for any of your pressure treated lumber needs. I typically don’ t write reviews but how can I not when I had such a great experience with a company that I had no idea was there for me.

I have been purchasing treated wood from Tarheel Wood Treating since 1985. I cannot recall ever having a bad experience with them. Everyone there has always been helpful, knowledgeable, and attentive to fill your order quickly. The products they sell and the selection of wood grades and lengths are a grade above what you can expect at the local big box stores.

Great local lumber yard that carries and stocks better quality products than your big box stores. For EC’s these guys always have 6″x6″x20′ for your temp service poles. Employees are always willing to help load the wood and the sales staff are always attentive/knowledgeable.
