Do we deliver out of state?

No, we only deliver within North Carolina, mainly the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill and surrounding areas but can service anywhere in NC.

Why choose us?

We have been a leader in top quality treated southern yellow pine in the area, you will not find as good of quality at your local box stores. We give our clients the best value for their lumber and fencing/decking needs and our staff has over 30+ years of knowledge in the wood industry.

What type of chemical is used to treat our lumber?

We use MCA and Ecolife mainly on our treated southern yellow pine. MCA stands for Micronized Copper Azole and has corrosion rates on metal products similar to CCA (chromated copper arsenate). It is clean, safe for humans, animals and the environment, it’s odorless, and non-staining when treated. It is made for above and ground contact usage and has retention levels of above ground: 0.06pcf and ground contact: 0.15pcf.

Ecolife is a stabilized weather-resistant wood treatment with a built-in water repellency to help minimize the effects of weathering. It is less corrosive to fasteners and aluminum and is used for above ground use only.

Are we a treating facility?

We used to be a treating facility but have stopped onsite treating and instead ship our lumber out to local treating plants.

Do we build decks and fences?

No we do not do the actual building, we are a supplier of the lumber, but we can recommend several contractors in various fields to get the job done if you need some assistance.

Can you recommend me a contractor?

We sure can! We know several contractors in various fields, ranging from fence builders to ones who focus on certain decking products like Trex or TimberTech decks and we would be happy to give you their contact information if you need assistance.

What are actual lumber sizes?

There is a difference in the sizes of lumber and how you refer to them. Nominal dimension is the name of the lumber: two-by-four, for example. Actual dimension is the size: 1 ½ inches by 3 ½ inches for example. The reason is that dressed lumber has been surfaced or planed smooth on all four sides (called S4S). The nominal measurement is made before the lumber is surfaced.
